Burn Them Alive !!!

( An E mail I sent to Delhi CM)

Dear Ms. Dixit,

Though I have shifted to Mumbai 4 years back for work priorities, Delhi always has a special place in my heart.

I would not mention here about the increasing crime rate, the negligence of personal safety an individual must follow in any busy city accommodating Crores of Citizens but what want to highlight her is that the way we punish Rapists is serving as the motivation to the criminal mind set.

If we speak about rapist per say, generally they are the common people with no prior crime track record, they surrender to their instincts under the backdrop of system’s failure to create examples of dire consequences.

Today a normal office goer wears the helmet because he knows not wearing it may cost him a traffic challan any time on Delhi Roads. He also knows that even if he does not stop when a traffic cop calls, he can’t flee away and will be chased by the traffic cops to give him a ticket. Unfortunately we have miserably failed to create similar fear in people’s mind about larger and heinous crimes.

I do not also understand why Rape is ever considered less criminal than murder and why never ever in Indian history of law a capital punishment is given to a rapist whose victim has survived the life.

I also feel that such kind of criminals are more dangerous than terrorists as they not only spread a terror among citizens t but also tore the fabric of trust among common people. Today we cannot trust just another Indian or Delhite on Road because, if he decides to turn monster under the influence of anything we know that fear of law is not even the last thing on his mind.

Dear Mam,

Requesting you to take up this case as the turning point in the history of Indian Law and show the world that such kind of crime will no more be tolerated.

I urge for a Capital punishment to the criminals and I insist please BURN THEM ALIVE!!!

Regards,
Vishal Thakur
