2 States...

Hi,
This post is not about Chetan Bhagat's New Novel 2 States, but still I wanted to give this title because:
1. Currently I am reading the same so it has a top the mind recall.
2. Last year this time We were making a move from Delhi to Mumbai, one of the toughest transition in my lifetime so far.
3. Since then I have been thinking to write about this transition of states...
By the grace of god this transition wasn't bad at all. Though I was extremely worried but it was really a smooth one. It was a long process..
It all started in Jun 2008, when i have got signals about this transfer, and since then I and Neha have started preparing our mind towards this shift. There are so many incidents and anecdotes which We experienced from making our mind to move till finally shifting in our current abode.
Since September 2009, every now and then I go just one year back in my thoughts and try to relive those moments of transition. I do not know why, bit this is my habit for a long time. When I shifted from Barghat to Bhopal or from Bhopal to Indore or from Indore to Delhi...
But this transition was far more special and different in many ways..
In coming days I would like to write about Delhi-Mumbai change a lot, but what holds me back is a thought that what ever i feel is still not constant. But just to inaugurate Let me mention one good thing about Delhi:
Its a beautiful city, perhaps the cleanest and greenest place in India amongst all big cities.
and One good thing about Mumbai is:
People are punctual here, and in this city they do not judge you by the brand of car you own.
Well, I wish to write about all my favorite cities right from Bhopal, Indore, Delhi, South Delhi, Mumbai and Thane... (Yes Mumbai is favorite, no.. not because of the fear of some extremist, genuinely favorite)
Some other day I would like to write more on this topic.. but before finishing let me add some more lines about both cities, please mail your views and disagreements...
1. Delhi -Not only city is beautiful, but people too (Look wise)
2. Mumbai- Auto and Taxi are reliable from fare as well as safety point of view.
3. Delhi-Market and malls are well organized and planned.
4. Mumbai-Market is there every where, there is perhaps no resi-commerical classification.
5. Delhi- Too much of parking charges, If you buy a vehicle do take parking charges into calculations.
6. Mumbai- Too much toll charges, f you buy a vehicle do take toll charges into calculations.
By for now...
(I know this is the vaguest blog i have written so far.. but I am a bit disturbed today...)
Luv
VT
