Hi,
A small anecdote, rather a quote I got on facebook is worth sharing here, or rather one of my 'Monday Morning Motivation' kinds...
so it goes like this... (I have already used it in couple of training sessions and in my lectures too...Didn't I tell You I got an opportunity to conduct lectures for an MBA college... Gr8 experience... will pour some of the feelers soon from it...)
Even if the problem is consistent & feels like ever existing... just stop crying over it...
Would like to add one quote from my archives.. (I do not own this quote..)

If I tell you a funny joke, you would laugh at it...
If I tell You the same joke again you may still laugh at it for courtesy...
But if I crack the same joke again.. You may perhaps give a smile...
But if I share the same joke again & again you may not find it funny...
in fact you would find it boring & stale...
The crux is 'You can not laugh at the same joke again & again...'
Then how can we cry over the same problem again & again...???

'You can not change your past, but surely you can change the way you feel about it...'

Isn't that only fair?
ReplyDeleteCoz a joke is just a joke, something meant to amuse, something which loses it meaning once u know the end. It is like a thriller u know the ending to. You lose interest once seen.
Problem (an existing one that is), on the other hand, is a constant reminder of your goal, of what u are yet to achieve. The outcome is unpredictable. Ending is unknown. Unless solved, it is always a PROBLEM, it never lose meaning. Problem is like a "To be Continued.." novel. You wanna know the ending. You read it again and again, in order to gain insight into the ending.
Just an opinion. :P
@ Priyanka... Certainly you have a point, but the whole idea of this story is to not give too much importance to a 'problem' just treat it as casual as a joke.-that cetainly doesn't mean to be inactive towards the problem, be senstive towards your problems, just do not keep crying over it.. and focus on 'Solutions' more rather than focusing on just 'problems...' :-)
ReplyDeleteRight. Got the point. :)
